Forbes has evaluated this prize, established by Igor and Yekaterina Rybakov, as 'the Nobel Prize for Education'. Its aim is to identify those entrepreneurs, wealthy people and philanthropists who can be presented to society as role models whose initiatives successfully prompt the development of schools not merely as sources of learning but as foci of attraction and development for their local communities. The Grand Prize of the Rybakov Prize amounts to $1 million US.
THE RYBAKOV PRIZE
The Foundation's core aim is to ensure that education in Russia and the world has access to all the resources it needs. The Mission of the Rybakov Family Foundation, whose President is Yekaterina Rybakova, is to create a tradition of forming with one's own hands the fabric of society. The core element whereby this mission is to be realised is the concept of 'School as the Centre of the Social Fabric', an idea which promotes improvement in the socio-educational milieu of schools. Such a milieu is seen as a unified field of collective experience for all concerned: teachers and parents, students and graduates, school directors and partners are all perceived not as divided between, on the one hand, providers, and on the other, recipients of information, knowledge or services, but participating on level terms in the creation of a new educational experience. The formation of such a milieu is not just a new way of working but a new way of thinking ̶ in co-creation, co-operation and co-existence.
The RYBAKOV FAMILY FOUNDATION
THE RYBAKOV INSTITUTE
The aim of the Institute is to accelerate the economic growth of Russia and the world by means of initiating, financially supporting and developing high-impact projects with a philanthropic, business and social cast. The Rybakov Institute is responsible for the fiscal support and development of the ecosystem that is the RYBAKOV FAMILY FOUNDATION.
The RYBAKOV Pre-school Award
A national Russia-wide competition named in honour of the child psychologist Lev Vygotsky. Its aim is to provide a forum for the exchange of pedagogic experience in the sphere of pre-school education, orientated towards the child. It forms part of the Foundation's ecosystem.
the RYBAKOV School Award
A national Russia-wide competition intended to foster the exchange of experience gained in the task of transforming schools into centres of development of the social fabric. The Competition identifies the best examples of active associations between schools and their leaders: School Managers, Teachers, Parents and Graduates. The Competition forms part of the Foundation's ecosystem.
Collaboration between the Foundation and the Institute has generated several associate groupings such as RYBAKOV PRO-KIDS and PRO-WOMEN. The ideological influence of the Foundation and the Institute has given rise to affiliated initiates, of cardinal importance to the formation of the ecosystem, such as the RYBAKOV X-10 ACADEMY and the EQUIUM International Business Club.

The Foundation and its founders Igor and Yekaterina Rybakov have personally signed up to the fight against Coronavirus, to which they have made significant contributions.

In 2020 the ratings agency RAEX ranked the Foundation third among private Russian charitable foundations.

UNIVERSITY OF CHILDHOOD: NOTEWORTHY PRACTICES
On 1st June 2020 was inaugurated the second three-day International Practice Online Conference under the title "UNIVERSITY OF CHILDHOOD: BRILLIANT IDEAS". Delegates to the Conference numbered 15,000 from 40 countries. Six frontrunning innovative practices in the education of pre-school-age children were presented, from Russia, the USA, Finland, Italy and the UNESCO Institute. Chairing the concluding session of the Conference, Yekaterina Rybakova observed: 'The figures show just how important and exciting is the subject highlighted by this Conference. We see an urgent need for new knowledge, for up-to-date methods, for exchange of views among people from different cultures and different nationalities. The University of Childhood accepts the challenge of addressing these tasks and bringing teachers together. We pledge to continue our work along these lines.'
EDUCATION PLEDGE
On the 2nd February 2020 at the Awards Ceremony of the RYBAKOV PRIZE Igor and Yekaterina Rybakov formally signed the Education Pledge of the International Association of Philanthropists in Education. They committed themselves to a personal pledge to spend $100 million over the next decade on projects in the sphere of educational resources in Russia and the world.

SOCIALLY ORIENTATED ENTERPRISES AND ASSOCIATIONS
The Rybakov family, in their capacity as active socially orientated entrepreneurs, are fully engaged with international organisations such as UNESCO and the World Bank. One of the family's highest priorities is the early years teaching of young children. UNICEF has identified a catastrophic lack of pre-school training, regarding this lack as one of the most urgent world problems. According to UNICEF's calculations, approximately half of the planet's very young children have no access of any kind to pre-school education. Separate research has revealed another problem: the colossal shortfall in private high-impact investment in this area. For these reasons in its socially-driven business enterprises the Rybakov family concentrates on pre-school education.

Another key characteristic of the Rybakov family's approach is the emphasis placed on the formation of self-developing associations surrounding the educational projects it supports. This characteristic enhances the effective outcomes of its programmes and projects, while increasing their longevity and resilience. Transmission, longevity and conservation of experience all measurably flourish wherever associations of this kind are formed.
SOCIALLY ORIENTATED ENTERPRISES
RYBAKOV PRO-Kids
Rybakov Pro-Kids is Yekaterina Rybakova's first socially orientated project and one which occupies centre stage in her personal attention. The project's aim is to generate an educational environment that will produce simpler and quicker pre-school institutions of a new type. Some things in life can be transmitted only on a person-to-person basis, and the new educational environment's mission is to increase and intensify just such exchanges. For that reason the programme's emphasis is not only to create a methodology of existing forms of story-based role-play for children, but also to train early learning educators and give them access to methodological systems and ideas banks for other social activists in this sphere. The Foundation's expert advisers have worked out a special programme for pre-school education entitled RYBAKOV PRO-Kids. The Foundation was the only organisation in Russia to send delegates to important conferences devoted to topics of pre-school early development organised by the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children, a US organisation). The ideological leaders of the programme, Igor and Yekaterina Rybakov, have set a target whereby by the year 2030 a minimum of 50% of pre-school educational institutions follow methodological approaches and systems developed and accredited by RYBAKOV PRO-Kids. In its educational sphere of operations the RYBAKOV FAMILY FOUNDATION conforms to practices endorsed by UNESCO.

RYBAKOV Preschool
Is a social enterprise dedicated to the creation of an international network of kindergartens in which particular attention is paid to new forms of early pre-school education. Its programme is based on an approach recommended by UNICEF's Bureau of Development in Education. Rybakov Preschool's aim is the qualitative improvement of the pre-school educational environment as a whole. A developmental environment has been created in kindergartens in which tutors undergo special continuous further training. A combination of factors develops the child's powers of independence, attention, resilience to stress, motivation to succeed, ability to control behaviour and determination to see projects through to their conclusion. Rybakov Preschool is expanding its network of private kindergartens via a licensing system based on the methodological systems it has developed and accredited.
RYBAKOV Х10 АCADEMY
Master of Entrepreneurial Art (MEA) is a core qualification that comprehensively serves as a basis to highlight the limitations of classical educational programmes like for example the MBA. While an MBA provides excellent training in the accepted knowledge disciplines: understanding the rules and how they are deployed, mastery and exploitation of what has been done before, the MEA is orientated towards the development of an entrepreneurial mode of thinking.

Students of the X10 ACADEMY, whose instructional ethos is based on the MEA programme, acquire skills of a different order:
a) how to avoid going under whatever the circumstances;
b) how to create something new, sharply distinguished from the tried and tested, in order to spot and exploit the key triggers that generate new exponential growth;
c) how to move to a new plane of development that will secure an entirely different level of material existence and the realisation of personal projects.

RYBAKOV X10 ACADEMY is a school for 'Masters of Living', a School of Masters of Pure Reality. 'Masters of Living' are people who have command, not merely of their subjects but of the four fundamental Life-Skills: inner resilience; finely tuned energy capacities; well-grounded social awareness; and extensive connectivity with the world. Together these four life-skills comprise the basic teaching of canonical Purity.

X10 ACADEMY is a school for people who want to become Masters of Living, a place to acquire a fundamental education where professional experience and accumulated skills flourish and deliver significant results in life as it is lived. 'Only now has it become clear what are the underlying reasons why conventional education effectively fails to deliver. The fact is that, generally speaking, conventional education practice lacks any basis for instigating those Life-Skills that are the indispensable tools for unleashing professional talents,' considers Igor Rybakov.

X10 ACADEMY is a school for people in search of ways to contribute something to the world, to make it better than it is. At the heart of the Academy's teaching lies a principle: some things can only be transmitted face to face, through personal contact, uniquely via the exchange of energies in the areas of expertise possessed by masters of their craft. Igor Rybakov is personally making efforts to ensure that students of the Academy gain maximum access to technical innovations which result in explosive increases in the efficacy of instruction on the students' neuronal connections.

X10 ACADEMY's philosophy is directed at students with an entrepreneurial cast of mind. In 2019 the course CREATE THYSELF designed by the X10 Academy and Igor Rybakov (MFTI) (Moscow Institute of Physic and Technology) was rated fourth most popular MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) by Russian participants in the online education service platform Coursera. According to final statistics produced and published by Coursera, CREATE THYSELF also reached the Top Ten most popular courses worldwide launched in 2019.

Not to follow the beaten path but to find your own way and to be happy is a rapidly growing direction being adopted by leading universities and business schools. As examples may be cited Professor Tal Ben-Shahar with his celebrated course at Harvard and as founder of the Happiness Studies Academy. Similar courses have begun to surface at Yale (Prof. Laurie Renee Santos), MIT and others. Several of them can be seen as in part complementary to the Master of Entrepreneurial Arts at X10 Academy.

Another concept now growing in scale is that of Creative Entrepreneurship. The most renowned creative entrepreneurs have combined creative flair with entrepreneurial ability to build multimillion-dollar business empires. Examples include Rupert Murdoch, Madonna and Richard Branson.

A particularly powerful attribute of X10 Academy is its links with the work of the international business-club EQUIUM. X10 Academy offers students opportunities to rapidly broaden their horizons and strongly escalate their toolbox of skills to seize opportunities by means of direct communication with founder of the Academy Igor Rybakov and other masters within the Academy. Indeed, participation in Equium affords the potential to develop newly gained experience in a milieu where others are equally focussed on exponential growth and entrepreneurial development.
ASSOCIATIONS
EQUIUM
EQUIUM is a closed-membership business club initiated by the Rybakov Institute, the principal individual inputs coming from Igor Rybakov and Oscar Hartmann. EQUIUM is not an educational institution, nor is it a networking or a training institution. It is not even one focussed on renewal: entrepreneurs are on the whole solo performers and it is no easy matter for them to absorb new blood into the organism. After all, their intercourse is normally confined to a tightly circumscribed and unchanging circle, which can quickly cause burn-out. No, EQUIUM's intellectual interests are concentrated on what entrepreneurs can derive exclusively from other entrepreneurs.

EQUIUM is a forum for one-on-one energy transmission from individual experiences. It is an ideal environment in which presentations, ideas, practices, devices, can be preserved, gathered together and shared with others and in the process brought to unprecedented heights of realisation. For anyone with a hunger to succeed the combination of Equium with work under a master at X10 Academy offers a perfect combination: over there, the turbocharge of the Academy accelerating to a new level; here at Equium consolidation, reinforcing and perfecting new techniques and methods.
PRO Women
An international Association formed and continually developed by the RYBAKOV INSTITUTE in which women help one another to develop. The philosophical driver of the Association is Yekaterina Rybakova in her capacity as President of the RYBAKOV FAMILY FOUNDATION. PRO-Women is a Non-Commercial Organisation: membership is free. Many women dream of change because the circumstances of their life do not satisfy them, but cannot see the way to effect the changes. In the Pro-Women Association women encounter a safe and motivating environment and can try out new concepts without fear of failure. Here they can engage in self-development and realise their potential. They themselves create propitious conditions for mutual support, share experiences and self-realisation, able to take on new social roles and opportunities for growth in the community. At the beginning of 2020 membership of the PRO-Women Association numbered 7,000 women from 150 cities in Russia, a 100 per cent growth compared with 2018. By the end of 2020 it is predicted the membership will have risen to 20,000, and in the near future up to 100,000.
RYBAKOV SCHOOL
'The School at the Centre of Society' is the ideological cornerstone of the RYBAKOV FAMILY FOUNDATION. The Foundation's mission is to establish a tradition of creating the fabric of society with one's own hands. Realisation of the Mission depends on establishing acceptance of the concept of resourcing and maintaining socially-orientated educational environments within schools. Such an environment must be one in which there is an undivided collective experience shared by all its participants. Teachers, parents, students, graduates, school managers and the school's external partners are not divided between providers and receivers of information, knowledge or services, but collaborate on a level platform in the formulation of a new educational experience. To realise this mission the Foundation has set itself a goal which it defines as the guaranteeing of high-quality education for all, thus incorporating the Fourth Aim proclaimed in the Charter of the United Nations.

Igor and Yekaterian Rybakov are convinced that the school of the future will be a school in which the adults (teachers, parents, graduates, directors) learn and the students form. This will be the new norm. At its heart is the goal of a conducive environment and the formation of a self-developing community centred on the school. In such a school, by observing the grown-ups surrounding them today, the children will grow up to become themselves capable adults. The focus of attention in the school will be familiarity with the laws of life and mastery of the skills needed to effectively arrange one's own life. The four basic life-skills are the following: the skill of making something new; the skill of working with the flow; the skill of collaborating; the skill of collectively working out the rules. Plus: being able to see, as the work progresses, how a concept developed in the mind takes shape in the real world. 'That school is a good school,' reflects Yekaterina Rybakova, 'that has created a comfortable, emotionally healthy atmosphere of mutual cooperation between all. It is just such an environment that helps to promote a willingness to agree, to cooperate, to be constructive and creative ̶ skills for the 21st century.'

Media
Igor Rybakov is the first dollar billionaire in the world to have turned himself into a video-blogger. He regards direct transmission to the public via the internet as the most effective means of disseminating to the widest possible audience the expertise, accomplishments and skills that have made him such a successful man. His desire is to propagate the business experience and secrets engendered by the thought processes of a successful entrepreneurial mind. In May 2020 there were more than 700,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel while more than 600,000 were signed up to his Instagram channel.
This is the name of the flagship programme of Igor Rybakov's YouTube channel, in which once a week he seeks out the central figures in currently topical events and shares with them his thoughts on the most contentious issues of the week.
THOUGHTS OF A BILLIONAIRE
RYBAKOV TALKS has a special format of encounters leading to discussions about the future of education. A programme of regular encounters and presentations opens the door to developing partnership relationships in the educational sphere, identifying problems and implementing solutions that are of immediate concern to the participants. Such a concept of partnership leads to the formation of a socially orientated educational environment in which every participant has a role to play in developing invaluable life-skills. Participants gain experience in reaching agreement and collaborating on professional questions within the conceptual framework of the central motto of the Rybakov Foundation: 'The School at the Centre of Society'.
RYBAKOV TALKS

«NUDGE»
Igor Rybakov co-authored this book with the legendary champion trainer Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, father and trainer of the celebrated Mixed Martial Arts world champion Habib Nurmagomedov.

SOCIAL ART PRACTICE

Igor Rybakov sees his multi-dimensional creative activities as socially transformative. Creativity of this nature is a dialogue with reality on an equal footing. It is feeling your way towards powerful new tendencies and using their energy to create trends that transform the world. Social art is the application of arts and creativity towards the transformation of individuals, groups and societies by working with, as opposed to for, the target audience.
Igor Rybakov is erecting a memorial to the heroic doctors who have saved the lives of people suffering from COVID-19. The project was initiated by the entrepreneur together with the artist Aleksei Sergienko. They believe that contemporary medicine should not be directed towards a defensive function of treatment and relief. What is of main concern today is less the protection of health (public health issues) than education, the single-minded forming of the healthy person (health education). Rybakov and Sergienko aim to direct the world's attention to the fact that, post-pandemic, medicine has become the most important single branch of human activity, and every medical worker in our time is a hero of a new breed. The crisis has meant that doctors have become humanity's teachers of a new relationship to health, and to life. Humanity has seen medicine transform itself into a system of mass education in a new modus vivendi, and in the process has turned itself into a system that recognises and develops new values.

The legendary and world-renowned paediatrician Leonid Mikhailovich Roshal, when agreeing to head the jury for the competition to design the best memorials to Hero-Doctors, is on record as stating that the authors of the competition scheme were to be congratulated, and that is why he consented to be associated with it.
hero-doctors
'To build and to live so as to spread more quickly love, benevolence, happiness, altruism and also the best ideas. Dissemination is life.' Such is the formulation that encapsulates the essence of the supremely humanitarian ideology that is Rybakov's. And every individual who establishes a responsible position in society is mandated to recognise and promote access to the ideas and practices that have contributed to his significant stature.

We are not speaking here of professional or other specialist instances of expertise, since it often happens that dissemination of such skill-based information leads only to failure in life. People end up 'imprisoned in the mind', locked into rigid formulae and stereotypical templates. It is better for successful people, 'masters of living', to pass on to others their knack of making the best of all that life has to offer in all its spheres. This approach underpins the whole teaching philosophy of the Rybakov Academy. It is based on the four principles of the 'Canon of Purity':

a) Possession of inner resilience ̶ belief in oneself.

b) Mastering the technique of fine-tuned energy ̶ all systems in a state of readiness.

c) Pumping up reserves of strength and potential ̶ social capital.

d) Stirring up connections with the world ̶ to scale up the personality.

Igor Rybakov's Humanitarian Ideology
November 2019 saw the private view unveiling of the most valuable art object in Russia, the 'X10 Money Throne'. The idea is that anyone who wants to may sit on the throne and experience himself that a million dollars is not an abstract concept from a Hollywood film studio but a real-life material entity that can not only be seen and touched but can be charged up to provide fiscal energy for a whole year to come. The glass throne containing one million dollars was installed in Moscow's Museum of Emotions. Made of super-shatter-proof glass it was filled with bundles of 50 $50 greenbacks by the St. Petersburg artist Aleksei Sergienko and the famous Russian businessman Igor Rybakov. The concept of the creators of the Money Throne is that it will multiply the wellbeing of people who experience it, and in so doing will generate positive socio-economic effects that will benefit everyone.
Х10'S MONEY THRONE
On the 18th November 2019 the short film Fair Play was premiered at the Russian-British Sochi International Film Festival and Awards (SIFFA Irida 2019). Leading roles in the film were taken by Igor and the scandalous English blogger Thogden (Theo Ogden). 'He was cast as an extra in the Russian film Fair Play,' stated Thogdad (Theo's father Stephen Ogden), referring to his son's part in the movie.

The film's scenario concerns a photographer, Alex (Theo Ogden) who is sent to Russia by the editors of the influential British publication World Today (Mir Segodnya) on what was supposed to be a provocative mission to report from Moscow streets during the 2018 World Cup. But each package and each encounter of the mission results in Alex learning more about and falling in love with Russia.
Cinema
In 2019 Bloomberg News announced the release of Igor Rybakov's first audio album The Summer was Ebbing Away. For Rybakov, music is a universal language that enables the musician to express feelings and states of mind ordinary language cannot reach. Not only that, but being universal it requires no translation. 'Music stimulates intellectual activity that helps me to search and discover new business activities,' Rybakov said in a phone interview for Bloomberg.

RYBAKOV MUSIC - a project with its own musical ideology.

The key message is the personal growth of the project's author and musician. Music is the means whereby he stays connected to the present while pursuing the unattainable. His targeted audience is made up of four components, to each of which Igor Rybakov reveals elements of his experience and some of the secrets of his success:

a) His children: through his art he becomes closer to them and they understand him better.

b) Parents: demonstrating an example of continuous renewal and enlargement. Showing how to become flexible and thriving role models to one's children.

c) The business community: an example of how creative art deepens and strengthens motivational tracks, both personal and professional.

d) His beloved wife: more love songs and songs about fantastically enriching work on the most important partnership of his life.

business

IGOR RYBAKOV is a meta-entrepreneur. The basis of his modus operandi is venture capital investment in industrial technology companies and growing them into a socio-economic ecosystem on a global scale. Igor Rybakov believes that organisational models of business technology such as Silicon Valley will be replaced by new forms of organisation: multinational platforms generating around themselves business ecosystems. The Prytek Technology Corporation, one of whose founding investors was Igor Rybakov, is just one example of how he is giving shape to his vision.

This he is doing together with his partners in Prytek. They are such well-known investment financiers as ex-Partner in Da Vinci Capital Andrei Yashunsky, former J P Morgan Team Member Arnon Shiboleth, the former CEO of Bank Hapoalim Yair Seroussi, the CEO of HackerU Gil Adani, the CEO of Delta Capita Joe Channer. As of 1st May 2020 Prytek had invested $120 million into companies with assets valued at $320 million.

Delta Capita is a global provider of consulting, decision-making and management services. It is a platform for the financial sector, operational as a service business for the banking sector (managing services, technology, consulting). In their 2020 ratings for rapid-growth companies the Financial Times rated Delta Capita Europe's fastest-growing financial consulting company. Delta Capita is part of the Prytek Group, one of whose founding investors is Igor Rybakov. Prytek is a multinational corporation with headquarters in Singapore, specialising in investments in technology and companies working in the service sector. The corporation maintains a varied investment portfolio of $300 million US in the sphere of technology, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and Human Resources.

In 2019 profits from the Technonicol Corporation amounted to $1.7 billion (103.7 million roubles). The Corporation's structure embraces 53 production centres in seven countries: Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Italy, Great Britain and Germany. It has 22 representatives in 18 countries, 18 training centres and six scientific research centres.

Technonicol was founded in 1992 by Igor Rybakov and his then fellow-student Sergei Kolesnikov. The business started out as a trading company: the two young entrepreneurs bought raw materials, supplied them to their associated factories and sold on the products. In 1993 their first office opened in Moscow. The next five years 1994 to 1999 were years of regional expansion, including to countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Today the company has 90 trade outlets in Russia and the CIS countries; the range of goods runs to over 20,000 individual items produced in 150 countries.

In November 2018 Igor Rybakov and his partner in Technonicol were awarded the title of European Union Entrepreneur of the Year held in Russia, and in June the following year attended the global awards ceremony in Monaco. Also, in 2019 Technonicol entered the Top Two Hundred largest private firms in Russia, taking the 114th place in the Forbes List.

INSULATION MATERIALS
The 'Niсol Paсk' Company in which Rybakov holds 50% of the shares is a vertically integrated manufacturing company of cardboard and paper-derived products. The firm owns five factories in Russia with an aggregate production of 255,000 tons of cardboard a year. Igor Rybakov believes: 'SOK is like a university of the future, the place where innovatory processes continue to grow. Professional companies coming to it teach each other.' The next SOK is planned to open in New York in the near future.

FAMILY
Igor Rybakov is married. He and his wife Yekaterian Rybakova have four children. Yekaterina heads the family's charity The Rybakov Foundation. She says: 'Many people cannot understand why I, the wife of a wealthy husband, should want to take on the running of a Foundation. In my opinion, to be well-off and have one's material needs satisfied is not enough to give a person the sense of a fully worthwhile life. Some people might find it suits them, but I am definitely not one of them.'
Igor and Yekaterina Rybakov have decided not to pass on their wealth to their children in the form of inheritance but to donate their capital to society to be used for charitable purposes. Igor Rybakov: 'We want to leave our children not an inheritance but a legacy.' Yekaterina Rybakova: 'We don't want to deprive our children of the chance to test themselves against life. As parents we are sending them a message that we believe in them, that they are capable and talented enough to construct their own trajectory through life. Children's armoury against the future should be to be ready to react to any unexpected situation. No doubt our children have not so far had to show what they can do in such circumstances. But it is not only from personal experience that children learn about life, they also do so by observing role models. And we bring up our children not so much by means of parental exhortations as by our own actions ̶ we, the grown-ups, become role models for our children, the future grown-ups. We consciously try to be actively flexible, in the sense that we mutually adapt to our environment in order to mould it for the better, both for ourselves and for others.'
legacy
Yekaterina Rybakova believes there was a particular moment when she and Igor realised that their family had entered a new phase of life. It was when Igor stepped down from operational direction of his business interests, the children were growing up, and the couple were now presented with opportunities to concentrate on things other than business and the family. The Rybakov family felt the need to look for new goals, new ideas, and the way to fulfil the need manifested itself in the creation of a Foundation. Igor and Yekaterina resolved to devote the latter half of their lives to the task of returning to society their capital in a transformed state, first of all by ensuring the adequate resourcing of pre-school and school education, the ultimate aim being to consolidate the social fabric of humankind in the interests of every person living on Planet Earth. Igor and Yekaterina are convinced that the school can and should become a conflict-free zone. Education is not what is studied in the 'prisons of a harsh regime' that goes by the name of a school. A school should be nothing more or less than a systematic environment for the recognition and absorption of whatever the student needs to choose his path. Accordingly, Igor and Yekaterina are convinced that the school of the future will be a school where the adults (teachers, parents, graduates, the directors) learn and the pupils form. This will be the new norm. In schools like these children will became well-equipped grown-ups by observing us.

Family
As she explains in her interview Yekaterina and Igor Rybakov intuitively sought out schools for their children around which a community had formed: alumni, parents, partners, friends. The Rybakov children all study in Russia, each making the personal decision to do so, and thereby maintaining the bonds within the family. A particular benefit, as Yekaterina points out, is that the children witness at first hand how she and her husband actively pursue their ambitions in the social sphere. She believes that working jointly with children constitutes a complete university of life. The most valuable thing she learnt from her the children was that each person has to be accepted for what he or she is, because with children there is no other way to make progress. There are four children in the Rybakov family ̶ two sons and two daughters ̶ and they are all different, you cannot treat them all in the same way. The value of each person resides precisely in their uniqueness.

Yekaterina Rybakova: 'I have come to realise that money does not only bring opportunities, it also brings responsibilities. When Igor created his business, he accumulated capital, and the way I look at it is that society trusted him to make good and sensible use of it. His skill in drawing in money demonstrated that he would also be good at making use of it.' For Yekaterina, money is no more than an instrument. The highest destiny of a person and the way in which he reveals the truth about himself is to pass on to other people and other generations what he himself holds to be of most value in empowering them to make things better than they could make them on their own.

For Igor Rybakov, the complexity and diversity of the world rules out any chance of the individual surviving and flourishing on his own. Nevertheless, he can do so as a member of a group. The basis of survival and growth depends on survivors passing on the fruits of their experience to others so that they can do the same. The more people set out waymarks of their own experience, the better and clearer will be our perception of the whole picture. Therefore the widest possible dissemination of knowledge and practices that have contributed to your success constitutes the highest manifestation of humanitarian values.
